What is the Parish Council?
It is desirable that the Council be a representative cross section of the Parish.
Experience in at least one of the Standing Committees is a benefit.
The Council is the representative voice of the Parish whose purpose it is to:
1. Enlist the cooperative efforts of the clergy in carrying out the apostolic work of the Church.
2. Maintain a two-way channel of communication between priests and the laity on matters that concern the good of the Church.
3. Make available to the Pastor the knowledge and experience of the laity in order to assist him in reaching decisions regarding both the spiritual and temporal conduct of the Parish and community.
4. Act in accordance with the Mission Statement.

What Does Serving on the Parish Council Offer?
Serving on the Parish Council offers its members an opportunity to experience the constructive and supportive fellowship of other lay people as together they prayerfully seek to continually develop a vision for the future of our Church. It offers the opportunity to make a difference in the life and spirituality of the Parish by encouraging the spiritual development of individual members and of the group.
What is the Parish Mission Statement?
Holy Family Parish, in union with the Roman Catholic Church, has a primary mission to help by word and deed to spread God’s teachings of love and eternal salvation.
This mission requires that we maintain a community of faith and worship which
provides spiritual needs and growth: an open family atmosphere for members and non-members; and outreach programs to respond to physical and spiritual needs of the parish community.
